    School Opening Times

    School is open for 32.5 hours per week which is in line with the Schools White Paper in March 2022 and the DfE expectations. 

    Start of School

    Main gate opens - 8.30am  

    Classroom doors open – 8:40am 

    Start time - 8.45am - This is the time of the register and therefore children need to be sat at their desk for this time. Any arrival after this time will result in a ‘L’ code on the register.  

    If a child is later than 9:15am than they will be given a U code (unauthorised absence) not a late mark, are per the ‘DfE School Attendance Guidance for maintained schools, academies, independent schools and local authorities 2024’.  

    Children who arrive late can feel embarrassed, left out, raise anxiety levels and miss out on important introductions to lessons. Punctuality is an essential life skill that needs to be taught from the very beginning.  

    End of School

    Main gate opens - 3.00pm  

    Finish time - 3.15pm  

    For school arrival parents are to drop their children at the class door they attend. Year 5 and 6 to enter through their allocated door due to being on the first floor. 

    Nursery  

    Gates open 8:30 

    Start time is 8:30 – 8:40 

    Gate and access to classroom will be closed at 8:40 – any children arriving after this time will need to go through the office.
